Golden now has the option for organizers to collect demographic information and expanded Participant information from volunteers upon their registration for a volunteer Opportunity. Golden collects, compiles, anonymizes, and shares this data with you so you can honor their privacy, better understand their perspectives, and become more inclusive of underrepresented populations
How do I start?
The option to ask volunteers to provide demographic information can be found in the Extras section of the Opportunity edit/create process with a couple of different options. There are separate fields under "Participant Information": required volunteer info, and optional fields. See the screenshot below to see what this will look like
Once the questions have been answered by a participant, they will be not need to answer the questions for any future Opportunities. We will store the Participant Information in their profiles and if they are signed-in, Golden will automatically apply the answers to these questions.
See the screenshot below for a view of the optional, demographic information that you can request from volunteers upon registration for an Opportunity. Like the Participant Information, Golden will store the answers to these questions so that Participants do not have to answer these questions when registering for another Opportunity
