Golden now has more great ways for Organizations to recognize volunteer performance.
Certificates are now available in the Portal websites used to find volunteer Opportunities! Certificates can be printed directly from the Portal websites, if the Organization has the option enabled, as a PDF.
The files will download as a PDF and can include your impact details through a particular window of time (depending on the filter that you select), or your lifetime performance.
The details will include:
- Total completions
- Hours of volunteer work
- The number of karats received
Optionally, the Organization that you participated with may choose to highlight an impact metric too.
Certificate Examples
How do I find/print my certificate?
- Log into your Portal website.
- Open your profile menu option by clicking the icon with First name and Last initial in the top right corner of the web page.
- Click on Account.
- Check to see if Certificates are an option at the bottom of your profile summary. The profile summary is the box at the top left part of the page.
- When you click the Certificates & History link, you will be taken to a preview page with the option to change the date range and the download button will be on the bottom right corner of the page.
I followed the steps. Why don't I see the certificates option?
Please note that not all of our Organizers have the certificate option enabled on their website. Some of the Organizations that use the Golden software have their own recognition/hours verification method.
If you need further help with recognition/verification, we recommend that you reach out to the contact information provided in the confirmation messages for the Opportunities you have registered for.
FAQ
1. I don't see some of my participation hours, info, etc. What is going on?
- Please see this article for info about where your missing hours might be!
2. I don't see a metric that I was expecting. Why not?
- Custom metrics are any impact metrics that do not include hours, total completions, or the number of Karats accumulated. In order for an impact metric to be represented in a certificate, an Organization that uses Golden must have their own website and they must select the impact metric that they want represented on the certificates.
3. What are Karats?
4. I need court-ordered volunteer hours verified. Can I use this?
- Golden cannot provide legal advice, nor provide any specific guidance on this matter. Please consult the courts in all cases. If you have been provided a document and need verification, please reach out to the Organization that you participated with.
